Or, “a moderate defense of people who seem to always be starting another thing in life.”
Some time ago, I stumbled on Seth Godin. Since then, I’ve come to respect and admire him as one of the best thinkers on business and marketing. One of the things he often says is that everyone should start a blog, and write daily. Not for numbers. Not for fame. But to put something out into the world, that has your name on it.
Because creating is scary. You might fail.
What will people think of you? What if you “waste” time or money? What if people think it’s stupid? I feel those things even as I write this post! And I felt those things when I launched GrowThat.
So this is an encouragement to create something. Try something. Bring something into the world that you made, and put your name on it. Of course, do it wisely. Don’t incur tons of debt (or any, ideally). But do it. You won’t regret it.
