What’s the difference between loyalty and referrals?
Loyalty programs keep existing customers coming back. Referral programs bring in new customers and help you grow your business. GrowThat lets you run both.
Can customers abuse my referral program, and redeem more than one free gift?
No. When a customer refers a friend to you, and that friend redeems their free gift, GrowThat won’t let them use another free gift at that location again. Instead, we’ll encourage them to join your program to earn more rewards!
How do I share my program(s)?
After you finish setting everything up, you’ll get one link that lets customers join your program. You can share that link anywhere your customers are: social, your website, through an in-store QR code, and more.
What metrics does GrowThat track?
Right now we’re tracking how many customers are in your program, how many referrals you’ve had, how many gifts you’ve given, and how many people are checking in for loyalty. We also plan on adding more advanced reporting soon!
What if I want to change my program once it’s launched?
No problem! You can edit your programs any time you want, or “pause” your program to temporarily disable referring or loyalty check-ins. This basically just stops everything from working until you start it up again.
How do visitors redeem their gift?
It’s simple. Just log in to GrowThat from any device with internet access (we recommend your POS tablet if you use one, but it can be your computer or phone too). Customers just tap a button to redeem their gift or check-in for loyalty, and you’ll be notified on your device. You can redeem their gifts or punch their loyalty card in just a couple taps.
Do I have to give a free gift to use the referral tool?
You don’t have to, but strongly encourage it. Think about it this way: if someone gives you 10% off somewhere, unless that’s a great deal, you probably don’t feel a need to go out of your way to check that place out. But if you can stop in and grab something free to experience the shop, you’re much more likely too. However, for some businesses, free just doesn’t make sense. If you’re a hair salon, boutique, etc., then you’ll probably want to just give a % off.
Are there any contractors or commitments?
Nope! Just one low monthly cost that gets you every tool we make to help local businesses thrive. We want to keep it simple, and we only want you paying for GrowThat as long as it’s helping you.
What happens after the free trial is up?
When you sign up, you’ll enter your credit card, but you won’t be billed until the free trial ends. If you cancel before the end of the free trial, you won’t be charged at all. We do recommend that you run your program for 2-3 months, as it takes time for word to spread. Feel free to give it some time, and measure after that. Remember, if you just gain 5-10 new customers in an entire year who come back regularly, it’s more than paying for itself.
Do you give refunds?
Because we charge month to month, we don’t give refunds once you’ve been billed for that particular month. However, you can cancel your account at any time, and we won’t bill for the next month or any months moving forward.
I have multiple locations, how much will that cost?
We charge $20/month for your first location. After that, it’s just $10 for each additional location. Our heart is to keep it affordable for small, local business owners.
